She finally found the traditional Macedonian costumes with a friend's help in a museum.
They were beautiful - very beautiful- woven fabrics that told the story of each village, special tassels or scarves hanging from the hips, stockingswith metal threads and beautiful colors, coins and beads dangling from the fine metal hats, coins layered across the chest to display great family wealth.

As she looked at the costumes she could imagine the sounds of the men and women walking and dancing.

People must surely still have the costumes carefully wrapped and stored in a closet or perhaps in the wooden bride's chest.
