Inequities persist in housing, public services including educational systems, access to jobs, and environmental quality. Many of these phenomena have been documented, and all impact on the quality of life of residents throughout the area. But is the public aware of these changes and conditions?
 
Whether this once-forgotten community that sits north of the new ballpark and theater district will be transformed — and what shape it will take — only time will tell.
