this is very good, though i doubt it will *do* any good. simply put,
the mayor of tirgu mures does not give a flying fuck about a roma
organization from hungary. or any roma organization, for that matter.
but especially not one from hungary, when he already hates
hungarians, roma or no roma.

this is the first romanian mayor of tirgu mures. before him, the
majority of the population of the town was hungarian. but slowly,
that has changed, so (was it last year) they elected one of their own.

also, there are two errors in this: one, they started rounding up
beggars in february, remember janoska and his brother had gotten
caught under this very law. secondly: those people who are being
evicted are not the only roma to live in a predominantly un-roma
neighbourhood; the people we are involved with also do, that is,
revolutie street is not a roma ghetto either. though there too they
are trying to push them out.
