Genesis is Prog Rock. And it WAS Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford's Band for along time after it was Peter Gabriel's Band.

Genesis is awesome and IMO, they didn't hit the sucky phase till "Invisible Touch"

R O N G. Collin's Genesis was Prog Rock too, just with a pop edge. It annoys Me the way People act like it's a crime for a Prog band to incorporate Pop elements into their songs.

Genesis (Phil Collin's band) is only questionably prog, and probably not.

However, Genesis (Peter Gabriel's band) is definitely prog, and in fact one of the earliest founders of the movement.

It seems that everyone has forgotten the role that Collins played in the band before he came out from behind the drum kit. He's no "imposter."

    Yes, they were prog.
